Tango by the River

Directions to Tango by the River, 128 J Street, in Old Sacramento:

From downtown Sacramento:

Go west on I Street--it will take you directly into Old Sacramento. Turn left onto 2nd Street. Turn right onto J Street. 128 J Street is on the left.  If there is no street parking, then park in the I Street parking garage (on the corner of I Street and 2nd Street).

From Highway 50/Business Loop 80:

At the intersection of Highway 50/Business Loop 80 and Highway 5, take 5 North. Almost immediately you will take the J Street exit.  Go straight on J Street for one block.  Turn left on 5th Street.  Turn left on I Street, which will take you directly into Old Sacramento. Turn left onto 2nd Street. Turn right onto J Street. 128 J Street is on the left.  If there is no street parking, then park in the I Street parking garage (on the corner of I Street and 2nd Street).

From the Bay Area:

Take I-80 East. When you reach Sacramento, I-80 splits, going North (marked I-80 East to Reno) and also going straight (becoming Highway 50 East and Business Loop 80 or Capital City Highway).  You do NOT want I-80 East to Reno.  Stay straight on Hwy 50. You will soon come to I-5.  Go North on I-5 for less than a mile.  Almost immediately you’ll pass the Q Street exit.  Take the next exit, the J Street exit.  That’s the street that we are on; only it is a one-way street at this point and you’ve already passed us.  So we are going to take a big U-turn to come into Old Sac – the directions for that follow right here:  Go straight on J Street for one block.  Turn left on 5th Street.  Turn left on I Street, which will take you directly into Old Sacramento. Turn left onto 2nd Street. Turn right onto J Street. 128 J Street is on the left.  If there is no street parking, then park in the I Street parking garage (on the corner of I Street and 2nd Street).

From Los Angeles:

Take I-5 North. When you come into Sacramento, you will pass the intersection of I-5 and Highway 50 East/Capital City Highway. From Reno:

Take 80 West to Sacramento.  When you get into Sacramento, don’t take Business Loop 80 – stay straight on Interstate 80.  After you pass Truxel Road, look for Interstate 5.  Take I-5 South. Once on I-5, in a mile or so, you’ll see the J Street exit.  Take it.  Go straight on J Street through the first intersection.  Turn left on 5th Street.  Turn left on I Street, which will take you directly into Old Sacramento. Turn left onto 2nd Street. Turn right onto J Street. 128 J Street is on the left.  If there is no street parking, then park in the I Street parking garage (on the corner of 2^nd and J).

From I-5 North:

Take I-5 South. When you get to Sacramento, you’ll cross over I-80.  Stay on I-5 and about a mile or so after you’ve passed I-80, you’ll see the J Street exit.  Take it.  J Street is the street we are on, but it is one way, and you’ve already passed us.  So you have to make a big U-turn to get back to where we are.  Here’s how to do that:  Go straight on J Street through the first intersection and for 1 block.  Turn left on 5th Street.  Turn left on I Street, which will take you directly into Old Sacramento. Turn left onto 2nd Street. Turn right onto J Street. 128 J Street is on the left.  If there is no street parking, then park in the I Street parking garage (on the corner of 2^nd Street and I Street, which you passed coming into Old Sac).   We have parking validations at the studio which will give you 2 hours of free parking in the parking garage.  On certain holiday and festival weekends, the City of Sacramento parking garages will not accept our parking validations and you’ll have to pay at entrance to park.
